This morning we will be thinking about the second commandment, found in Exodus 20:4: You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth

6pm  – Sinners Still

We turn to 1 John 1:8-10 and consider the reality that all of us have sinned, but that there is forgivness cleansing from all sin when we confess them.

We continue to consider the first of the Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20:3.

6pm – A Great Assurance

We turn to 1 John 1:7 and consider the great assurance of salvation, whic John gives to Christians in this verse.

We consider the first of the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20:3: “You shall have no other gods before Me.”

We turn to 1 John 1:6, where John gives a test of authentic faith – do we aim to live a holy life?

For our morning service we will be reading from Exodus 20:1-21 and considering the Ten Commandments. Are the Ten Commandments for today and if so what is their purpose?

We read 1 John 1:5 and consider what the Apostle John meant when he wrote, “God is Light”.

11am – Our God is a Consuming Fire

We turn to Exodus 19:16-25, as Moses prepares to approach the Lord at Mount Sinai.

6pm – Fellowship and Joy

We read 1 John 1:3-4 and think on the fellowship and joy of Christians in Jesus.

11am – Covenant of Grace

We turn to Exodus 19:1-15. Israel is camped at Mount Sinai and Moses goes up the mountain to meet with God. We will explore what God’s covenant with His people means.

6pm – Jesus – both God and Man

We start a new series in 1 John, reading from 1 John 1:1-2 as we consider who Jesus is and what the Apostle John wants to tell us about Him.
