11am – Unity in the Gospel

This morning we return to Colossians; this week Pastor Mike continues to take us through chapter 4, and we will think about the unity of God’s people through the Gospel, from Colossians 4:15-18.

5:30pm – Sin not leading to death

This evening we revisit 1 John and this week with Pastor Mike we have a look at sin that doesn’t lead to death and sin that does. We also think about prayer again, as this is always important to think about prayer. Our text this time is 1 John 5:16-17.

11am – More Names

This morning Pastor Mike takes us back to Colossians, and we revisit the list of names that Paul gives in these verses. We will consider these other characters, what example they give us, what we need to be aware or causious of, what this means for us and how we can apply these lessons, from Colossians 4:12-14.

5:30pm – Real Prayer

This evening we return to 1 John with Pastor Mike; we will consider what real prayer looks like, the fact that God hears us, which gives us confidence. God, being our good Heavenly Father, not only listens but knows how to give us good things, if it is according to His will.

11am – Names [part 1]

This morning Pastor Mike continues to take us through the fourth chapter of Colossians, this week looking at a list of names. Some of these are people that Paul knew, some worked with Paul in ministry, while others helped or served Paul while he was in prision. Pastor Mike will expand on who each of the people are and how Paul knew them, from our reading this week of Colossians 4:7-11.

5:30pm – Why Write This Letter?

This evening we continue through the letter of 1 John; this week Pastor Mike asks the question of ‘why did John write this letter?’, while we look at 1 John 4:13 and consider this. We will also think about how this affects us, and why this is important.

11am – That is Truth?

This morning we have Rob preaching as Pastor Mike is having a well-earned break. He will be looking at a verse from Isaiah and asking the question, what is truth? Who is the authority on what is true, and why is this important to us today? Rob will be speaking from Isaiah 59:14.

We will have a pre-recorded sermon this evening from Vodie Baucham, he will be speaking on the foolishness of the gospel from 1 Corinthians 1:1-31. 11am – He Prayed for You, Christian

This week we are joined by a guest speaker, Thomas Kitchen, he will be speaking to us this morning and this evening. This morning Thomas will be taking us to the gospel of John and showing us Christ, not only that Christ prayed but who Christ prayed for, and why. Our reading will be John 17:20-26.

5:30pm – I Will Build My Church

This evening Thomas takes us to another gospel, this time it’s Matthew, where we will see how and why Christ builds his church, and what (or is that who) Christ builds with. Our reading this evening is from Matthew 17:13-20.

11am – Some practical teaching for believers

This morning we are back in the book to the Colossians, this week Pastor Mike is taking us into the fourth chapter. We will be looking at some practical tips for believers when teaching and guiding others in God’s ways, from Colossians 4:2-4.

5:30pm – Our Redeemer both man and God

This evening we revisit the first book of the apostle John, for our next installment in chapter 5. This week we consider how Jesus us both God and man, what this could mean to us and why it is so important, from 1 John 5:6-9.

11am – Wholehearted service

This morning Pastor Mike continues to take us through the book of Colossians, this week looking at service, how to do it with all of our heart, what this looks like and what our main drive for doing service should be. We focus this week on Colossians 3:22-24.

5:30pm – Faith that overcomes

This evening we return again to read of the apostle of love, this week looking at the subject of faith, the kind of faith that God uses and what can be done through faith in God, what faith in God can overcome. Our text for this week can be found in 1 John 5:3-5.

11am – Let the Word of Christ dwell in you

This morning Pastor Mike carries on in Colossians chapter 3, and shows us what it is to “let the Word of Christ dwell” in us. We will think about what this means, how we can apply this thought and what this might look like when we live it out. Out text this week is Colossians 3:16-17.

5:30pm – How do we know we are Christians?

This evening Pastor Mike takes us back to 1 John, but this week we move into chapter 5, asking the necessary question of how we know we are a Christian or not. What are the proofs and what is the evidence that we can look to help is answer this important question – self-examination is a hard but required process to do as a Christian. We take this from our text this week of 1 John 5:1-3.

11am – Put On… Love

Continuing through our passage in Colossians this morning, Pastor Mike takes us to verses 12-15 of chapter 3 where we will discover what we need to put on to show the world that we belong to God and not the world, from Colossians 3v12-15.

5:30pm – He first loved us

This evening we continue through the book of first John, where this week we will have a look into how God first loved us, how God is love and what this means for us and should mean to us, in 1 John 4v19.

11am – Dearly beloved children

This morning Pastor Mike continues to take us through Colossians 3 where we will see what God thinks of us, how we should treat eachother, and what sort of character we should be like. Our passage this week is Colossians 3:12-15.

5:30pm – Jesus Son of God

This evening we are going to have a look back into 1 John; Pastor Mike will show us why the “Apostle of love” thinks God is a God of love, and the fact that Jesus is God’s Son and how He is the Saviour of the world.
